The sculptural centerpiece of the exhibition is
davidpompa’s new lighting collection, Cilia, made with
handwoven palm crafted by women artisans from the
Zapotitlán Valley in Puebla.
This Mexican weaving
tradition, which includes a meticulous drying process
of palma, has been passed down through generations,
paying homage to this tradition carried by master
artisans, many of whom are women.
