MEXICO CITY ART WEEK 2025
Woven Kitchen is an ephemeral exhibition during Mexico City Art Week that interlaces craft, design, and culinary creativity to explore the profound connections between Mexican traditions and contemporary innovation.

This collaboration between studio davidpompa and Contramar traces the parallelisms between the art of weaving and seafood preparation, two practices deeply connected to materiality, craft and tradition.
For this collaboration, Contramar unveils new interpretations of its cuisine, blending its signature flavors with a contemporary perspective while remaining deeply rooted in its celebrated culinary legacy.

Woven Kitchen transforms these cultural threads into a sensory experience of sculptural lighting, experimental cuisine and an exhibition that documents the creative dialogue behind this collaboration. It is made to highlight the beauty and relevance of these traditions in a contemporary context.
